Mortgage Day at The West Brom

Taking on a mortgage is one of the biggest financial commitments people can make, yet some find the process and even the language involved a bit of a maze.

Help is at hand in the form of an open day being staged by The West Brom at New Square on Saturday, 14 September from 10am, when a team of qualified experts will be offering tips, answering queries and showcasing the Society’s latest selection of mortgage deals.

You don’t have to be a West Brom customer to attend and while appointments can be made in advance by contacting the branch, people are also welcome to drop in on the day.

West Brom branch manager at New Square Pinda Kang said: “Whether it’s to secure their first home, climb the next rung of the property ladder, or find a more competitive rate of interest, people will inevitably have questions when looking to apply for a mortgage.

“We’ll have personal mortgage consultants available throughout the day for an informal chat about what’s involved and the various types of products available.”

Some of the innovative solutions on offer are prefect for first time buyers, such as an Assisted Mortgage which enables a borrower to introduce a sponsor who can support them initially with their monthly repayments. The West Brom is also among the providers offering a Help to Buy: ISA savings account, which benefits from a government-backed bonus payment on the final balance.
